Safia Paraiso (England Schools u15s & Wolves Ladies Central Defender) joins our Fall 2021 Women’s Soccer programme

We are delighted to represent a player of the outstanding quality of 16 year old Safia Paraiso. Safia who plays Centre Defence for Wolves Ladies First X1 is a player of immense talent and she shows a maturity way beyond her years. As well as being able to play in the centre of defence, she is just as comfortable playing either full back or as a holding midfield player. Safia is also blessed with that important commodity Рnatural speed. She really is rapid and was the 11th fastest  100m runner in the UK within her age group. She also has great on the ball control & technique which enables her to be confident and comfortable whilst in possession. This skill enables her to play the ball out of defence whenever the opportunity arises. Her skills have been recognised by the England Schools selectors and she has already represented England School u15s on five occasions. As previously mentioned for her age Safia has amazing positional sense and her defensive organisation skills are exemplary, she is without doubt future captain material.

Safia who lives in Kidderminster, West Midlands, began playing soccer at the age of 8, joining her local club; West Hagley Girls u9s. From Hagley she moved on to join Dudley Sports u12s before being spotted by the Wolves Ladies scouts. She then began playing for Wolves u14s. During her time at Wolves Ladies, Safia has represented her County; Worcestershire in the Centre Back position from 2016 to 2019 and as previously mentioned she has represented her country England at Schools u15s level on five occasions.

Academically Safia is a dream ticket! She has straight A grades at GCSE level and is now at the Haybridge High School in the West Midlands studying A-Level Mathematics, Chemistry & Biology. When she moves to a US College in Fall 2021, Safia would like to study a Pre/Med / Physio Major.
