Maddie Hines becomes the latest Swindon Town C6 programme player to join our 2024 Women’s Soccer programme.

Sporting Chance USA is delighted to welcome 17 year old Maddie Hines to its 2024 Women’s Soccer programme.

Maddie Hines is a dynamic center midfield player, as can be see from her video below. She is without doubt an impact player and can be relied upon to win possession or break up play as a holding midfield player, or play a more attacking role and support her attack. Maddie is a very intelligent young lady and this becomes obvious in her play, as for a 17 year old, she shows a maturity in decision making far beyond her years.  She reads the game so well and along with her exemplary passing ability, she very rarely gives away possession cheaply. She is strong both in the air and on the ground and her anticipation skills are first class. We believe Maddie to be future captain material, as she has captained every club at which she has played soccer.

Maddie began playing soccer in 2013 at the age of 7  and joined Derry Hill Boys Firebolts before joining Derry Hill Girls Flames two years later (playing a year above her age group). Whilst at the Flames, Maddie helped her club win numerous cups and league championships over a six year period. In 2019, she was a member of the squad that reached the finals of the National Futsal Competition. In 2017 Maddie gained representative honors for her County of Wiltshire Girls Soccer squad and also had successful trials to play at Swindon Town CFFE u12s. In 2018 she captained Swindon Town Girls in the Barcelona Cup and helped them gain third place in a very strong competition. In 2020 Maddie moved on to join Ashton Keynes United FC u16s playing in the Gloucester League. That season after helping her club win the league championship and reaching reaching the Wiltshire Cup semi-final, she was awarded the Manager’s Player of The Year trophy.

At the age of 16,  As well as now playing for Gloucestershire County Girls Soccer squad squad Maddie joined the Swindon Town Women’s Development squad. In her debut game for her new club, she scored a debut goal and was awarded the Player of the Match award. This season 2023/24 Maddie will be playing her second season at the Swindon Town Development squad and as captain for Swindon Town C6 educational program at the Commonweal School in Swindon. It is worth noting that Maddie is already a qualified referee and has taken charge of numerous games in her local area. She is now in the process of taking her FA Level 1 Coaching Award.

Academically Maddie is an excellent performer in the classroom. As can be seen below, she has gained A grades in a number of key academic subjects and she is now studying for her A-Level qualifications in Psychology, Business Studies & PE in 2023/2024. When she moves to a US College in Fall 2024, she is looking to study either sport or business related Major.
