Sporting Chance USA is delighted to welcome seventeen year old Kane Fisher to its Fall 2020 Men’s Soccer programme. Kane is a typically British hard working box to box midfield player. He is able to play in any position across the midfield, as well as playing the No 10 role. Kane joined the Chesterfield FC (National League) Development Centre, at the age of 16 and helped the squad perform outstandingly at a Youth Tournament held at Stamford Bridge (Chelsea FC). He is a good winner of the ball and is not one to make rash challenges, giving away unnecessary free kicks but his good positional sense helps him get goal side of an opponent and he is then able to win the ball cleanly. Technically Kane is a quality player, his ball control and first touch are both excellent and his passing ability, long and short range is first class. The one feature we noticed in Kane is his ability to see the forward pass. Evidence of this can be seen from his video below. He always plays with his head up and he is constantly looking to play a forward pass to his strikers. He also has a good turn of pace and can always be relied upon to track back an opponent when required.
Kane began playing soccer at the age of 6, joining his local Derbyshire club; Hasland CFC under 9s. He remained at hasland until the age of 14 when he left to join Chesterfield FC Junior Blues u15s & u16s. Since then he has played at Glapwell FC u17s and now plays for Chesterfield FC Community Trust Development Centre u19s. As well as playing soccer, Kane has also represented his county at Cross Country, finishing 7th out of a field of over 70 runners, which gives some indication of his level of stamina.
Academically Kane is currently studying for his BTEC Level 3 in Sport at the Outwood Academy in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He is looking to move to a US Junior College and he would eventually like to study a sport related Major.
