Sporting Chance USA is delighted to be representing an athlete as talented as 17 year old Faith Pound. Faith who is a student at Swindon Town FC C6 programme based at  The Commonweal School, Swindon, Wiltshire is an outstanding wide player who loves to score goals. She is blessed with natural pace and has won numerous medals and awards for 100m & 200m athletics. Her blistering pace enables her to leave opponents in her wake, having used her considerable dribbling skills to get past them, or to move onto a ball played rough behind the defence. As can be seen from her excellent video highlights below, she has the ability to time her run to perfection and get in front of an opposing defender to score goals. At every club she has played for throughout her young career Faith has always scored over 20 goals per season, which in itself is quite remarkable for a wide player! She is an excellent passer of a ball and can cross a ball with either foot.

Faith began playing soccer at the age of 13, having already made a Sname for herself in athletics, having competed for the Swindon Harriers Athletics Club at 100m & 200m, as well as playing Ice Hockey for the Swindon Top Kittens from 12 to 14. At 13 she joined her local girls grassroots soccer club as well as being the only girl playing in a boys u15s side. At 15 she joined Stanford-in-the-Vale u17s girls squad which meant her playing a year up. That season, in only 15 appearances,  she finished as the 2nd highest goalscorer with 25 goals and 10 assists. When she turned 16, Faith joined the Forest Green Rovers Women’s squad, playing in the South West Women’s Football League, scoring 3 goals in 6 appearances. She then decided to move closer to home joining the Swindon Town Women’s FC, where she is currently playing, as well as playing for the Swindon Town FC C6 programme.

Academically Faith has a good set of GCSE qualifications and she is currently studying at The Commonweal School, Swindon for her A-Level qualifications in Criminology, PE & Art & Design. When she moves to a US College in Fall 2024 Faith is looking to study either an Art or Criminology Major.
