Central Defender Rosy Wodhams joins our 2022 Women’s Soccer programme, as a Graduate student athlete

Sporting Chance USA is delighted to welcome 21 year old Rosy Wodhams, to its Fall 2022 Women’s Soccer programme. We can honestly say that we believe Rosy to be the finest women’s soccer defender we have ever had the pleasure of working with in the 15 years we have been in operation. Rosy, who is currently in the final year of her undergrad degree programme at Loughborough University, is a true thoroughbred central defender. We believe she has the potential to go the whole way into the women’s professional game, maybe even international level. That’s how highly we rate her!

Any US College Coach fortunate enough to recruit Rosy for Fall 2022, will be getting a natural born leader both on and off the field. The fact that she is looking for a Graduate programme makes her maturity even more important to fellow defenders. She is technically gifted on the ball and has the pace of an athlete to carry the ball out of defence, on occasion even to the edge of the opposition penalty area! Her reading of a game is far beyond her years and this helps with her early anticipation of any potential danger. She is strong and commanding both in the air and on the ground and her range of passing skills, as can be seen from her highlights video, are superbly accurate.

Rosy began playing girl’s soccer at the age of 8, joining Women’s Super League side Arsenal Ladies u11s. She remained at the Arsenal Centre of Excellence up to the age of 15. She then joined Stevenage Ladies where she remained for three years, winning the club’s Player of The Year Award in all three seasons. On joining Loughborough University, Rosy chose to play for local club Loughborough United rather than the university side. This means she has not used up any of her four year US eligibility.

Academically Rosy is a quality student. She performed well at both GCSE and A-Level and she is now in the final year of her 3 year UK degree programme at the prestigious Loughborough University studying Industrial Design & Technology. When she moves to a US University in Fall 2022, Rosy would like to study Design & Technology at Graduate Level.
Welcome onboard Rosy, we cannot wait to introduce you to US College Women’s Soccer coaches!!
