Sporting Chance USA would like to extend a warm welcome to seventeen year old Ashleigh Davies-Lynch, an outstanding high energy box to box midfield player. Ashleigh, who lives in Nottingham, began playing soccer for Nottingham Forest Ladies (FA Women’s National League) at year 6 and remained at Forest through to year 11. During that time she helped her club win 4 league championships and 4 cup winners titles. At the age of 15 Ashleigh joined newly formed neighbours Notts County Ladies (East Midlands Division 1 North), captaining the side and helping them win the league title in their first season. During that season, Ashleigh was voted the Most Improved Player of the Year.
Ashleigh has a tremendous appetite for hard work and can always be relied upon to give a full 90 minutes commitment. She is natural captain material and has captained almost every side in which she has played. She has excellent on the ball technique and is a first class passer of the ball. Her positional play and understanding of the game for such a young player is quite outstanding. She is comfortable playing in any midfield position, if asked to play a holding role she can do it but she does love the opportunity to get forward and can always be relied upon to score her share of goals throughout the season. She also has a natural turn of pace which enables her to play in a wide midfield position when required. She is a two-footed player and is able to use either foot to make dangerous crosses into the box.
Ashleigh is currently a second year student at Loughborough College, studying for her BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport & Excellence. She has been predicted excellent grades and is looking to move to a US College in Fall 2020 and to date she is still unsure which Major she will pursue.
