Alex Stephenson from the Swindon Town FC Foundation is the latest player to join our Fall 2022 Men’s Soccer programme

US College Men’s Soccer coaches seeking  a quick and totally reliable right side wing back for Fall 2022, should take a long look at 18 year old Alex Stephenson. Alex who lives in Swindon, Wiltshire, England is the latest player from the Swindon Town FC Foundation to join Sporting Chance USA. He is currently playing for the Swindon Town FC (EFL League 2) Foundation squad and for Royal Wootton Bassett Town u18s. Alex is a very hard working player with an excellent attitude towards improving his game all the time. He is an ideal player to coach, as he is always prepared to give 100%, be it in training or a full match. He is an excellent defender and his natural turn of speed enables him to nulify crosses coming into the box, as well as offering protection to his central defenders. He also has the enthusiasm and energy to make numerous forward supporting and overlap runs throughout a game.

Alex began playing soccer at the age of 7, joining his local junior club Purton FC, where he remained up to u15s level. During this time he won numerous Manager’s Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters Player of the Year Awards.  In season 2020/2021 he joined the Swindon Town FC Foundation u18s squad and immediately made the First X1. Last season he helped them win the CEFA League Championship, as well as reaching the CEFA Cup semi-finals.

Academically Alex has a good set of GCSE grades and he is currently studying for his A-Levels and CTEC qualifications at the Commonweal School in Swindon. When he moves to a US College in Fall 2022, Alex hopes to study either a business or sports related Major.
