17 year old Erin Hemsley (Swindon Town Ladies FC) joins our Fall 2024 Women’s Soccer Programme

We are delighted to be able to introduce you to 17 year old Erin Hemsley. Erin is an outstanding central defender currently playing for Swindon Town FC C6 programme and the Swindon Town Ladies Reserve team. Coaches seeking a strong powerful central defender blessed with a natural turn of pace should take a long look at Erin. For a young player, Erin possesses an excellent understanding of the the game and how it should be played. She has great game awareness & positional sense and is able to spot any potential danger early and is able to position herself accordingly. Erin is strong and decisive in the tackle and is competent in the air. Her natural turn of pace helps her make rapid recovery runs, as well as being able to carry the ball out of defence when the opportunity presents itself. She is a natural leader and has the ability too organise her fellow defenders and midfield.

Erin began playing soccer at the age of 8 joining her local Swindon Town Girls Centre of Excellence playing for the club’s u10s, as well as Ashton Keynes u10s. She remained at both clubs through to u16s level. During that time Erin helped and captained Ashton Keynes to win numerous Wiltshire County Cups and League Championships. as well as Gloucester u16s league winners in both 2020/21 & 2021/22. Erin has also represented and captained the Swindon Town Ladies in the Copa Jorda Tournament in Barcelona. Numerous representative honours have come Erin’s way and she has represented Wiltshire Schools from u10s through to u16s. At the age of 16, she joined the Swindon Town Ladies senior squad and is currently playing regularly for the Swindon Ladies’ Reserve team squad. It is worth noting that Erin is currently looking to take her FA Level 1 coaching award and she is already a qualified Level 7 referee and referees junior soccer in the UK on a regular basis.

Academically Erin is an ideal student. She is a straight A grade student who takes her academics very seriously. She is currently studying for her A-Level qualifications in Maths, Further Maths & Chemistry at The Commonweal School in Swindon. When she moves to the US in Fall 2024, Erin is hoping to study for a Maths Major.
