We are delighted to announce the arrival of dynamic midfield player Grace Eagles to our Fall 2021 women’s soccer programme. Grace, who plays for Swindon Town Ladies FC Development squad and for Royal Wootton Bassett Town Ladies First X1, follows in the footsteps of a number of players from Swindon Town Ladies FC who have joined our programme over the past three years. Grace is a high energy box to box centre midfield player. She is able to play either an attacking role or the holding midfield position. Grace has strong physical presence in midfield and is a tenacious ball winner. She also has excellent on the ball technical skills when in possession and is always looking to make the forward pass whenever possible. For coaches looking for an attacking midfield player, Grace would be ideal, as her strong running with the ball enables her to get into goal scoring positions and she possesses a fierce shot in either foot.
Grace who lives in Swindon began playing soccer at the age of 9, initially joining her local junior club Swindon Spitfires u10s. After spending three years at the Spitfires she moved on to join Ashton Keynes u13s where she remained up to 16 years of age. During her junior years 11-16, Grace was regularly selected for the Wiltshire County FA representative squad and also played for Swindon Town Ladies u15s & u16s. This season 2019/2020 sees Grace playing for Royal Wootton Bassett Town Ladies First X1 in the South West Women’s Premier League. Grace is keen to go as far as possible in women’s soccer and is already taking her first steps in obtaining her FA Coaching Awards. Grace is the holder of the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze & Silver Awards, having visited Kenya to carry out 4 weeks charity work.
Academically Grace has a good set of GCSE grades and is now studying at the Commonweal School in Swindon for her A-Level qualification in Business Studies, as well as the CTEC Award in Sport. When she moves to a US College in Fall 2021 Grace would like to study a sport related Major.
