Everyone at Sporting Chance USA is delighted to welcome 18 year old Chantelle Scott to our Fall 2018 women’s soccer programme.
Chantelle or Elle as she prefers to be called is an intelligent, hard-working and talented midfield player, who understands the fundamentals of both attacking midfield and holding midfield play. Her positional sense is excellent to the point that is able to influence any game from her midfield position. Elle has a good range of passing skills and is always looking for the opportunity to move forward for a shot at goal. She is also very strong in the air and this has enabled her to play numerous times at the centre of defence. She can always be relied upon to win her share of both defensive and attacking headers. Elle is also a first class organizer on the field, which makes her perfect captain material.
Elle began playing soccer at the age of 12, joining her local junior club; Swindon Spitfires captaining the club from 2011 to 2015. Whilst playing at Spitfires, Elle joined the Swindon Town FC (English League Div 2) Centre of Excellence program and captained the squad from 2012 to 2016. In 2014 and again in 2016, Elle captained the Centre of Excellence squad in the Gothia Youth World Cup and in the 2016 tournament, she was chosen for the prestigious Ambassador of the Tournament award. She is currently (2017/2017) playing regularly for Swindon Town Ladies Development & Reserve teams (Double Cup Winners 2016/2017) and for the Commonweal School Sixth Form (League Champions 2016/2017). She has also recently been asked to join then Wiltshire County Ladies squad. Elle is a qualified FA Level 1 Coach and has plans to take her Level 2 before she moves to the US. It is worth pointing out that since the age of 12, Elle has been a volunteer coach at the Swindon Town FC Football in the Community Centre, working regularly with the girls’ Under 12s squad. She is also a part-time Leisure Assistant at a local gym.
Academically, Elle is a first class student. All of her GCSE subjects are either A or B grade and she is currently in the final year of her A-Level studies in Sociology, Psychology & PE. Elle plans to sit her SAT in April 2018 and I think we can safely say that she will have a GPA somewhere close to 3.8. When she moves to a US College in Fall 2018, she would like to study a sport related Major.
