17 year old Erin Franklin – Futures Cup & Repton School Field Hockey Goalkeeper joins our Fall 2020 programme

Sporting Chance USA is delighted to welcome 17 year old Erin Franklin to its Fall 2020 Field Hockey programme.

Erin, who is an outstanding Field Hockey goalkeeper, comes from Swadlincote in Derbyshire and attends and plays hockey for the prestigious Repton School. Whilst keeping goal for the Repton Hockey Club, she has helped the club win numerous indoor and outdoor National titles including the u18s National Champions. Erin’s talents as a goalkeeper has been spotted by National Hockey selectors and as a member of the National Performance Centre has played in the Futures Cup for the past three years. In 2018 Erin was selected for the u18s NAGS.

Erin has been playing competitive Field Hockey since the age of 13. At the time she was also a highly rated womens’ soccer player, having attended several leading women’s soccer academies. However she decided to make Field Hockey her sporting choice and became a regular member of the Burton Hockey Club (Burton on Trent), winning the club’s Goalkeeper of the Year award. At the age of 15 she left Burton to become a live-in boarder at Repton School and has represented the school ever since.

Erin is also a strong academic student and takes her studies very seriously. She has a very good set of GCSE grades and is now studying at Repton School for her A-Levels in English, Geography & PE. When she moves to a US College in Fall 2020, Erin would like to study a sport related major.
